My tastebuds have come a long way since the UK – I’ve gone from rarely to never touching fish to being a big sushi and sashimi fan. What can I say, Hong Kong has changed me. I’ve had the pleasure of trying some pretty incredible food whilst in Asia but raw octopus probably doesn’t qualify as one of them.

The other night I had the pleasure of tasting it for the first time. It’s not something I’d usually choose off a menu but seeing as though I was meeting somebody for the first time and they wanted me to try it, I didn’t want to seem like I wasn’t incredibly adventurous, so I did. It’s not that raw octopus tastes bad, in fact it tastes of very little, it’s just one of those things that takes a very long time to chew, which I can’t say I appreciate. Can’t say that I’m eager to be consuming it again but I guess you’ll never know unless you try it.
